Creating a pool
Anyone can open a pool for any pair of tokens. No listing, no permission, no fee to ARCO for creating it.
What you choose
- The pairAny two tokens on Arc. Paste an address if the token is not in the list yet.
- The feeWhat traders pay on every swap in this pool. Pick a suggested tier or type any fee from 0.01% to 10%, in steps of 0.01%.
- The starting priceThe price the pool opens at. Get this right: if it is off, the first trader simply takes the difference from the first liquidity.
Picking a fee
| Fee | Usually fits |
|---|---|
| 0.01% | Stable against stable, pegged pairs. |
| 0.05% | Large, tightly traded pairs. |
| 0.3% | Most pairs. |
| 1% | New or volatile tokens. |
| Anything else up to 10% | Your call. A higher fee earns more per trade and attracts fewer trades. |
After you create it
A new pool is empty. It needs liquidity before anyone can trade in it, so the app takes you straight to adding the first position. From that moment the pool shows up in Pools and Explore and the router starts quoting it. The 87.5% / 12.5% split applies to every pool created through ARCO from its first trade.
